that happened to me (the throat being swollen and it being hard to swallow) drink a lot of water/juice/whatever. What I had might not be the same thing....but whenever I swallowed my throat would hurt. My mom said that my throat was dry..so I just kept drinking a lot of water. Hope everything improves.
